Wool applique hanger with primitive folk art appeal

Wool Appliqued Hangers
Two of these are wool hangers that are attached to vintage looking keys. The keys have a cast iron texture to them. They do have a little weight to them, but I don’t think they are real cast iron.
The wool applique image is a uniquely shaped flower pot with daisies sprouting out of it. To construct the hanger I first cut 2 of the hanger shapes. I then stitched the applique on one of them and then sewed the two shapes wrong sides together. I stitch my applique design and my front and back pieces together with a buttonhole stitch.
Next, I cut out a wool strip that is curved on both ends and appliqued a wool penny (one inch and a half inch wool circles sewn together) on one end. I looped the wool strip over the key and stitched the side of the wool strip with the penny down to the front of the hanger first and then stitched the other end to the back.
The third hanger has an appliqued thistle on the front with a crochet lace hanger and trim.

This is a purple wool applique hanger with a white and grey plaid uniquely shaped pot. There is a single red cone daisy coming from the pot. These hangers really compliment a primitive folk art home decor.
